A second opportunity to view a cutting-edge documentary about stem-cell therapies takes place this Monday, April 24 at the Croftonbrook Lounge.
The 7 p.m. film screening of the The God Cells promises to back up its provocative title with solid content, according to local organizers. The Village Voice has said “The God Cells isn’t the first documentary to take on a controversial subject, but . . . it might be one of the few to change some minds,” due to the force of patient testimony.
The film is brought to Salt Spring by a group of islanders who have been following advances in stem-cell research and therapies and wanted to share information to a wider circle. A second screening was arranged by popular demand after several people saw the notice for an initial April 13 screening too late to attend.
