Bob passed away peacefully at Saanich Peninsula Hospital on Easter Saturday. Born in St. Laurent, Saskatchewan, he moved to the West Coast after the war to be closer to his family who had moved to Salt Spring Island in 1942. In 1948 Bob married Evelyn on Salt Spring Island where they lived until they moved to Sidney, B.C. in 1988. Predeceased by Evelyn, his wife of 52 years, Bob leaves to mourn his passing his daughter Darleene (Dale), his son John, his grandson Jack, his grandaughter Jen (John), his step-great-grandson Cole, a large and loving extended family and his many good friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Kennedy and the doctors, nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Saanich Peninsula Hospital for their care and compassion.
