Shirley left us too soon, but peacefully, on Monday, July 28th with her son David and her nieces Jackie Stibbards and Lynne Grooms by her side.
She will be greatly missed by her brother David Bentley and his wife Janet of Edmonton, her grandsons Dylan Todd and Jordan and Kelsey Stewart, her brother-in-law Mel Sumner of Salt Spring Island, and by her many nieces and nephews and their mates who will always remember the warmth and thoughtfulness of their wonderful Aunt Shirley. The loss will also be felt by the many friends and acquaintances to whom Shirley endeared herself with her ready smile and great humour.
A celebration of this special lady’s life will be held at the Salt Spring Golf and Country Club on August 16th, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Donations may be made to the Palliative Home Care Nurses, Salt Spring Island. Our heartfelt thanks go out to these amazing gals.
