Shirley Jean (Reynolds) Murcheson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Shirley on October 18th, 2013. Shirley was born on June 14, 1958 on Salt Spring Island where she lived all her life.
She was the third in a family of six girls. She was the peacemaker, quiet and shy; had an impish grin and a spirited mind of her own. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Lois and Harvey Reynolds and sisters Barb and Ann.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband Russ, sons Paul (Katie), Steve (Sharon); sisters, Judy (Ian), Cindy (Dan) Debbie (Ernie); sister-in-law and brother-in-law Heather and Frank White, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Shirley was a wonderful mom and wife who will be fondly remembered for her fabulous birthday cakes, a love of gardening and making preserves. All the nieces and nephew have great memories of summer vacations at Auntie Shirley’s, in the pool. We called her our ‘Wise Sage’.
Heartfelt thanks to all the amazing home-care staff, hospital staff, our wonderful Dr. Reznick and Jean; caring family, friends and our neighbours.
She left us much too soon with many wonderful memories; she will be sadly missed and we say goodbye with love.
