Climate Change, Clean Energy and First Nations: Dr. Judith Sayers in Conversation

April 28, 2018 @ 7:30 pm

The Salt Spring Forum and the Canadian Federation of University Women are honoured to co-host Dr. Judith Sayers, president of the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council, an adjunct professor with the Schools of Environmental Studies and Business at the University of Victoria, a board member of Clean Energy BC and the BC Achievement Foundation, and a member of the Order of Canada. GISS. 7:30 p.m.

Clean technology is one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world—and an essential response to climate change. In British Columbia, several First Nations are leaders in the renewable energy sector. Indeed, clean technology may be one of the most effective ways in which First Nations communities can develop and empower themselves.

The Salt Spring Forum and the Canadian Federation of University Women are honoured to co-host Dr. Judith Sayers, a champion for sustainable development in First Nations communities.
