Sacred Poetry

This week the group will explore Zen Buddhist poetry, which may take the form of Haiku. Local poet Christine Smart will facilitate the evening starting with One Hundred Butterflies, by local poet and Zen teacher, Peter Levitt. Participants share a favourite poem with the group and take time to listen, reflect and consider their impact and meaning for personal journeys in the search for spiritual insight. You are also welcome to simply listen and participate in the discussion. Star of the Sea Centre for Spiritual Living and Practice (St. Mary’s Church), 7 to 8:30 p.m. Participation is by donation and registration is not required.
