Passed away peacefully at Kiwanis Care Centre in North Vancouver with all her family members by her side on Friday September 17, 2010.
Born August 4, 1927 in Vancouver, Barbara was the third daughter of Donald Campbell MacLure and Olive Edith Till. Barbara is predeceased by her older sisters Pat, Joan and her husband Stanley Warren Davis (2004).
Her loving children Cathy (Richard), Ron (Sue), Jeff (Lynn), Michael, and Carolyn (Jim) survive Barbara as well as ten adoring Grandchildren Michael, Jillian, Sarah, Katelyn, Laura, Rebecca, Hayley, Emily, Nelson and Hayden.
Barbara embraced life to the fullest and lived an active 30 years on Salt Spring Island until 2009 when she returned to North Vancouver (Kiwanis Care Centre) to be close to her family. Barbara will be remembered for her beautiful smile that brightened the world and brought joy to all those who knew her. Barbara’s friends and family became better people after knowing her and being part of her life because she was able to see the best in people.
The family offers special thanks to the many outstanding caregivers at Kiwanis Care Centre and Dr. Cheng. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC.
A memorial service will be held on October 1st, 2010 at 2 PM at The Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the memorial service at The Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites,

5:30 PM, October 1st.
