CORNELIUS LAUBENTAL

CORNELIUS LAUBENTAL

Born: October 12, 1942, Berlin, Germany, died suddenly and peacefully, October 3, 2010 on Salt Spring Island. Corny attended the University of Alberta (Zoology) and moved to Vancouver, BC, where he worked as a very creative Goldsmith for 30 years. In 1990, Corny met Tricia Holland and they lived happily for 20 wonderful years. In 2001, Corny retired to Salt Spring Island to follow his passion for gardening and growing orchids, rhododendrons and many other plants. Other joys of his life were classical music and cats. He taught others by example with his kind and gentle nature. He will be greatly missed by his wife Tricia, sister Sabine Laubental of Victoria, niece Carma Brophy/

husband Jonathon Bartlett of Nanaimo, sister-in-law Sally Holland of Ladner and other close friends. A Celebration of Life was already held.
