Passed away at Lady Minto
Hospital with her family at
her side. Betty moved to Salt
Spring Island in 1975 with
her husband and children.
She embraced her new
community by working
actively with the Farmers’
Institute and was also a very
active member with the Lady
Minto Hospital Auxiliary Thrift
Shop. Survived by her loving
husband of 52 years, Dennis,
her children Terry (Sharon),
Beth Cornwall (Lewis), Mark
(Maureen), Robert (Lisa),
David (Wendy), and several
grandchildren and great
grandchildren. Special
thanks to Dr. Jan MacPhail,
the staff of the Lady Minto
Hospital, the Bessie Dane
Foundation and Hospice,
and all those in the
community who supported
our family during this
diffi cult time. There will be a
tea service to celebrate
Betty’s life at the Royal
Canadian Legion, Meaden
Hall, on Wed. Sept 24 at
2:30 p.m. In lieu of fl owers,
