Fourth annual event has community societies and businesses decorate trees, and members of the public for favourites with a food bank donation. Harbour House Hotel meeting room (rear entrance.) Open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to Jan. 2.

Fulford Community HallFree for all at Fulford Hall: brunch begins at 11 a.m., dinner is at 6 p.m. Gifts for the kids and music for all at the day and evening jam. Potluck (optional). Another happy, alcohol-free event.

18th Annual Christmas Day Community Dinner
Meaden Hall 120 Blain Road, Ganges, Salt Spring IslandHome-cooked turkey with all the trimmings, salmon, ham and vegetarian lasagna, four vegetables, and rolls, topped off with goodies and fruit for dessert, and a variety of beverages. Downstairs at the Legion (Meaden Hall). All welcome; no cost.
