ARMSTRONG, John Ross and Maza Mary (Becky), nee Bexson
After almost 72 years of marriage Mum and Dad were separated by Becky’s death on February 2, 2016. Ross followed just 10 weeks later on April 10th.
Becky and Ross were both born on the Prairies in 1922. They met and married in Whitehorse, Yukon Terr. where Ross was working for newly formed Canadian Pacific Airlines. His career with CPA took them to Edmonton and later to Vancouver. In 1983 they retired to the home they designed and built on Beddis Road on Salt Spring Island. They spent many happy years there, Becky working in the Thrift Shop and Dad with ham radio and a volunteer with the Salt Spring Island Emergency Program. They both enjoyed golfing on Salt Spring and played until their health began to fail. They ended their days in Victoria, at Oak Bay Lodge, where the care and attention of staff was much appreciated.
They are survived by their 3 sons, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
