Born on June 22, 1959 in Wetaskawin, Alberta, passed away with his loving family at his bedside, at Royal Columbia Hospital, New Westminster, BC on January 18, 2010.
Beloved son of Audrey and Charles Sampson (Salt Spring) deeply loved brother of Brenda, Laurel (Vernon), Dianne (John) Wayne and David. Cherished nephew of Alberta Grafton. Irreplaceable uncle to Kim, Jordan, Cara, Myles, Mason, Sam and Shayla. Remembered as the fun uncle who joined them in play with enthusiasm and gusto.
Leo was a very significant person who cared little for material things. He was an avid reader and sports fan. He enjoyed Pink Floyd, chess, pool, golf and puzzles.
He was also the family artist & poet. He left us a collection of beautiful vibrant paintings to treasure and remind us of his gentle, complex soul and glorious spirit.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Salt Spring Island on Sat. January 30th at 1pm.
