Pamela Elizabeth Barry
(nee Reynolds)
March 13, 1930 – April 10, 2013
On April 10th, surrounded by the love of her family, our beloved Pamela crossed peacefully over the “rainbow bridge” to tend her Heavenly garden in the presence of Jesus. She is now joyfully reunited with her dear David and other loved ones.
Pamela was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was gracious and loving to all who came across her life path and will be remembered for her gentle smile and her desire to be a blessing to others each day. Pamela shared her passion for gardening and her love of birds with all who came to visit.
Her unwavering faith and strength of character upheld her in challenging times and she enfolded her family with a depth of love and caring that is beyond description.
Pamela will be missed deeply but her spirit will keep us company in the garden of life and in the hovering of the hummingbird and butterfly.
We extend a deep appreciation to those who cared for Pamela with compassion and respect during the last few weeks of her life. A special thank you to Jill and the nurses from the Community Health Team. Thank you to the Palliative Response Team from Victoria Hospice, the nurses and staff at Cowichan District Hospital, Dr. Frazer Black, Dr. David Brook, and all the caregivers who supported us in caring for Pamela at home.
“I shall pass through this world but once.
Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness
That I can show to any human being,
Let me do it now.
Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.”
Please join us in celebrating Pamela’s life;
