Subscribers’ copies of Driftwood at office for pick-up

As the Canadian Union of Postal Workers strike nears its third week, copies of the Gulf Islands Driftwood for subscribers continue to be available for pick-up at the Driftwood office.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to drop by, and to those who are willing to take papers to their friends and neighbours.

Our office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Fridays (though some staff are usually there until 4 p.m.)

The Driftwood office is located at 241 Fulford-Ganges Rd. While road construction does result in traffic delays in and out of Ganges from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. most weekdays, work is now concentrated closer to the Beddis Road intersection and getting in and out of the Driftwood office property is not as difficult.

The free four-page Extra edition and its flyers that many Salt Spring Islanders receive in their mailbox will also be available for pick-up at the Driftwood office, as well as at the following locations:

Country Grocer, Thrifty’s, Salt Spring Coffee, TJ Beans, Switchboard Cafe, Rock Salt Restaurant, Salt Spring Mercantile, Windsor Plywood, Mouat’s Trading, Canco Gas, Mid Island Co-op, Pharmasave, Embe Bakery, Barb’s Buns and at ferry terminals. We extend thanks to all of the above businesses for accommodating the Extra paper and flyers as well.

Give us a call at 250-537-9933 if you have any questions, or email driftwood@gulfislandsdriftwood.com.
