Thomas Nelson (Nels) Vodden

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nels on Friday, October 26th, six days short of his 100th birthday. Nels is survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wives Ann and Jeanne and his children Lorraine and Robert.

Born in Estevan, Saskatchawan and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. Nels served in the RCAF during WW2.  He settled on Salt Spring Island in the late 1950’s and it became the place he considered home. He spent many wonderful years here.

As per his wishes he has been cremated. No service will be held but his ashes will be returned to his beloved Salt Spring Island at a future date.
