Trevor James Murray
Trevor died in Vancouver after a long struggle with mental illness on March 20, 2014 at the age of 54. He thrived during his years on Salt Spring Island, from 1973 to 1977, and was GISS valedictorian in 1977. Trevor was larger than life and always made an impression on the people he met, and despite his own difficulties, showed great compassion for his fellow travellers. He will be missed by his father Michael, sister Brenda and other family members and friends. Donations can be made in Trevor’s memory to the Salt Spring Community Services adult mental health program.
