SHIRLEY WYNNIFRED LANIADO

Shirley passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on September 20th in

Vancouver after a short illness.

Predeceased by her mother, Edith, father, Richard and brother Edward Stephens, she leaves to mourn her passing her husband Avraham, twin sister, Sheila (Sayer); niece Larissa Sayer and her husband Patrick Callas and nephew Dylan Sayer, all of B.C.

Shirley was born in Lloydminster and grew up on the family farm in the Southminster district. Her formal education began at Southminster Saskatchewan School where she recently attended its centennial celebration. After studying at Lloydminster High School she went to the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, and graduated with a B.Sc. in Nursing in 1966. Later,

she earned a Masters degree in Adult

Education from UBC in Vancouver.

Shirley was an exceptional nurse educator and inspired many students.

Shirley was a great lover of animals, especially cats, and was both their benefactor and fierce protector. She was also a very kind, compassionate and giving person to everyone she met. Shirley will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
