Arny was best known for his beautiful smile and sweet easy-going nature. He worked hard and proudly at many varied jobs over the years. He loved to take his family on road trips to explore B.C. on his time off and also spent many fun summer holidays here on Salt Spring Island at the cabin on Hedger Road that he helped build in the 1940s with his dad and his older brother Doug, pre-deceased in September 2012. His adored big sister Marjorie Martin has been living on the same property since the late 1970s. Arny and Jean moved to Salt Spring Island just down the road from her in 1979.
The family would like to thank all the fine folks that work and volunteer at Greenwoods for their compassionate care of Arny these past 2 1/2 years. A special hug for the sweet hospice lady that sang him goodbye. Family memorial this summer.
