January 24, 1945 – April 1, 2010. Dale passed away at Lady Minto Hospital, Saltspring Island, after a long struggle with cancer. He is survived by his mother Rose, brother David (Peg), sister Robin (John), son Erin (Shannon) and their three children Emma, Sarah and Marcus, as well as Dale’s daughter Dana (Katherine). Dale is also very much missed by his best friend and most trusted companion, Lana, of Vernon,
BC. Dale was predeceased by his brother Brian, uncle
Gordon, and father Raymond. The family would like to thank Dr. Berg and Dr. Yee, and the wonderful nursing and home nursing staff at Lady Minto for all their care and support.
There will be a celebration of Dale’s life on Saturday, April 10, at the Brinkworthy Clubhouse on Beech Avenue, 135 Brinkworthy Place, from 2 to 4 pm.
Everyone who knew Dale during his many years on SSI and in Manitoba are invited to stop in and say hello. We will have lots of old (and new) photos to look at and many good memories to share. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lady Minto Hospital Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
