Sept. 30, 1914 – April 30, 2011
After watching the Royal Wedding, Mom decided it was her time to go. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Gardening was her passion. Even at the age of 90 she was out there with her pick and shovel. Mom had an artistic flair. She took design courses in dressmaking, ikebana (Japanese flower design), and masonry. Her creative and artistic ability showed itself in her love of making hats.
She was predeceased by her daughter Corinne and by her husband David. Left to celebrate her life are her daughter Sherrill (Ken), granddaughters Heather (James) and Jayna (Jeff), and her great-grandchildren Danielle, Liam, and Andrew. A memorial tea will be held at the OAP room of Fulford Hall on May 29, 2011, from 2 to 5 p.m. In memory of mom, don your favourite hat.
