Kavanagh
Aug. 3, 1914 – Nov 3, 2012 Fordene Margaret Kavanagh, born August 3, 1914 in South Bend, Indiana, died peacefully in Lady Minto Hospital Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012.
Fordene was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Kavanagh in 2000. She is remembered and loved by nieces Barbara, Janice and Eulalie, and step-nieces Pat and Ellen, and leaves many friends in the Salt Spring community and beyond.
For the past 7 years she was a happy resident at Heritage Place. Her family and friends are grateful to Sandi Mueller and staff and residents at Balsam House for sharing food and laughter, memories and music, Margo Greggains of Access Care Management and her staff of caregivers who administered faithful loving care and never once faltered.
Thanks also to the wonderful staff at Lady Minto Hospital and Dr. Robert Crichton and Dr. Meghan Newcombe.
A Mass of the Resurrection will take place at Our Lady of Grace Church, November 12, at 11 a.m. followed by a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Lady Minto Hospital Foundation.
