It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Iris Pattison March 14, 2009 at Kelowna General Hospital.
Iris was born September 26, 1922 on Salt Spring Island, B.C. She will be lovingly remembered by daughter Wendy Remesz, son-in-law John Remesz, grandchildren Ben and Natasha, family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Pat in 1977, and her sister Ruth Heinekey. She is survived by brother Ken Goodrich of Ottawa.
Iris was born and raised on Salt Spring Island, left the island in 1945, but returned to Vesuvius Bay in 1973 with her family. Iris left the Island again in 2002 to live in Kelowna with Wendy and her family. While on Salt Spring, Iris was well known as a very accomplished seamstress with many Island clients.
We would like to extend a special thanks to the emergency room staff at KGH. Iris was a gentle spirit whose kindness touched many.
A tea party will be held in her honour May 16, 2009 at 2410 Longhill Rd. Kelowna, B.C.
