Leslie Clifford Price
November 17, 1931 to January 19, 2016
Brigadier General (ret) L.C. Price CMM, CD of Ganges on Salt Spring Island BC passed away on Tuesday 19 January, at the age of 84. Les is survived by his wife of 62 years Ruth Margaret Price (Gow), sister Sharon Klassen (Price), daughter Nancy Allen (Price) of Calgary and son David Price from Port McNeill.
After a 35 year military career (where he actively continued to fly until 4 days before retirement), he went on to Alberta Energy Ltd for a few more years until he and his wife Ruth moved to Salt Spring Island where they enjoyed sailing and camping. Les was also the Commodore of the Salt Spring Sailing club in 1999.
Les Price was admired and respected by those who knew him. A man of outstanding integrity. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father and grandfather who lived a life doing those things that he loved to do.
