February 6, 1915 – May 25, 2011
Mary (Mollie) Regan nee Macfarlane was born in Secunderabad, India February 6, 1915. In 1929 the family moved to Vancouver, Canada, and in 1989 she came to join her daughter Lynn on Salt Spring Island. She lived a quiet and good life, enjoying her gardens, involved in raising her grandchildren, volunteering at Greenwoods, and later living at Greenwoods until her death on May 25, 2011. She is predeceased by her husband Frank, sister Avis, and brothers Noel, George, and Cyril. Mollie is survived by her daughter Lynn on Salt Spring, granddaughter Mary in Vancouver, grandson Graham in Halifax and nephew Glenn in Vancouver.
Thank you to the exceptional staff of Greenwoods who nurtured her during her five years in residence at Greenwoods, and who sensitively and lovingly cared for her during her final days.
Thank you also to the hospice volunteers who gave of their time so unselfishly.
