Music Makers team makes call for performing artists

After a successful 15-year run producing afternoon concerts at All Saints by-the-Sea Anglican church, a new group of local musicians has formed to continue the Tea à Tempo series and launch its 2025 season.

Led by Meredith Bates, Mary Kastle, Simon Millerd and David Storm, Tea à Tempo will present a series of 17 shows at All Saints by-the-Sea from June to December, with a focus on both local and regional artists. Show times may continue on Wednesday afternoons or shift to evening and weekend performances as best suits the presentation.

Music Makers is proud to continue its long tradition of highlighting creative and exceptional music on Salt Spring Island through performances, workshops and residencies to build audiences for both existing and new endeavours.

Music Makers is currently accepting artist submissions for the 2025 season. Artists wishing to submit can complete an online Google form and will be notified of selection results in early April. Submission deadline is March 10.

The organization welcomes artists who use their work to build community. It will also continue the tradition of inviting both artists and audience members to stay for a post-performance chat and warm drink in the All Saints lobby.
